In the project management tool KLUSA, capacity planning forms the basis for optimally planning the deployment of personnel within projects.
KLUSA offers not only the possibility to definite employee capacities, but also skills within a resource pool. Skills (e.g. developer, consultant, etc.) serve as the prerequisites in KLUSA for resource requests of a project manager within a project. The skill capacity can be determined independently of the employee capacity. Here, the manager of a resource pool has the option to determine the capacity of a pool member manually or automatically, depending on the settings in the module "Administration". In case of an automatic capacity calculation for the pool member, the capacity is calculated based on the assigned worktime model of the employee. Worktime models can be created and assigned individually to an employee in the module "Administration". When the option manual calculation is chosen, the pool manager can decide freely how to distribute the capacity in person days per month on the pool member or the skill. The resource utilization chart provides both the project manager and the resource pool manager with a clearly structured comparison between resource requests and capacities.
