The KLUSA portfolio management offers among others the following functions:
Create and Maintain a Portfolio
With the appropriate authorization, a user can create a new portfolio. The master data (name, description, portfolio manager, etc.) of the portfolio can be entered and maintained. Then projects and project ideas can be added to the still empty portfolio.
In addition to the active plan, further plan variants can be generated for a project, which allow the project manager to create and analyze alternative scenarios for their project planning. These variants can also be used in portfolio analysis. For each project either the active plan or a variant can be used in the analysis. This allows for quick and parallel consideration of alternative portfolio planning scenarios and thus supports you in portfolio management.
Determination of Capacity Limits Per Portfolio
To fit a project portfolio into given constraints, you need to know the budget framework, available resources, and the maximum number of concurrent projects an organization can successfully handle. KLUSA supports this by creating capacity limits per portfolio on a monthly basis. In addition, available resources can be automatically determined from the capacities of the resource pools associated with the portfolio.
