Resources Project Management
The project management tool KLUSA dedicates a separate module to the topic "resources". The project staff can be managed there in so-called resource pools by their respective pool managers.
In addition to managing employees and their duration of membership, the main focus is on the resource request approval process. The manager of a resource pool receives requests from various projects either for a resource or a qualification (e.g., consultant, developer) needed for completion of a work package in a given period of time. There are different options for processing such resource requests: In addition to approving or rejecting a request, KLUSA also offers the option of allocating effort to various employees within the resource pool. The request can be split in time or moved entirely to another resource pool.
In support of their decisions, program offer the manager of a resource pool graphs and tables for visualization of the resource capacities. Here, the qualification or staff capacities are compared to the resource requests. The capacities can either be set manually or calculated automatically from the working time models of the employees.
KLUSA also includes a time accounting system for projects. The manager of a resource pool can track the planned and actual efforts of their pool staff in graphs and tables.
